Powers
Psionic Skinning (Amazing for probationary period): Ms. Steed has the ability to assault her victims telepathically in a unique way known as “psionic skinning”. She can trigger specific areas of the human brain to cause paralysis, severe pain, muscular spasms, brain damage, or send her victims into a coma. Though this is the only manifestation of her telepathy, it is strong enough to kill even extremely strong telepaths, such as the Shadow King. With concentration, she can bypass a psi-screen of Monstrous rank, though it requires 1-10 minutes of focus and she must not be distracted.
Psi-Chain Creation (Excellent): Ms. Steed can manifest her psionic skinning ability into a tangible form, appearing like a chain with hooks at the end. This psi-chain causes excellent energy or edged damage, and can also cause Remarkable rank pain on touch if her target is living. The chain itself is weightless to Ms. Steed and has Excellent material strength.

History
Ms. Steed was born in London, England to unknown parents and a childhood shrouded in mystery. What is known about her is that at a young age she joined the London chapter of the Hellfire Club and rose to the rank of Black Queen. As Shinobi Shaw took control of the New York Hellfire Club from his father Sebastian Shaw, he was angered to hear about strange activities in the London chapter. Since none of his operatives were in the Inner Circle there, he petitioned Captain Britain, aka Brian Braddock, to join by right of ancestry. Braddock accepted and became Black Bishop.
Ms. Steed and a woman known as Scribe brought Braddock up to speed on the London Hellfire Club’s activities. A secret power source beneath London was discovered, and subsequently tapped by the Red Queen, Margali Szardos. However, this power source turned out to be a demon trapped beneath the sewers of London. The demonic power released drove many of London’s citizens to madness, including the Black King, who was slain by Ms. Steed in self-defense.
Working with the force Excalibur, Amanda Sefton, daughter of the Red Queen, was able to imprison and seal the demon. Once the link was severed, Margali vanished, and life began to return to normal. Brian Braddock returned to Excalibur once the club was exposed, and the Scribe and Red King were taken into the custody of the London police. In the confusion, however, Ms. Steed was able to have a patsy jailed in her place, allowing her to escape to New York and begin a new life, no longer Black Queen, but still a member of the Hellfire Club. Her resources remain confiscated by British authorities, but she was wise enough to keep enough to live on secreted away.
