How to Submit a Roleplay Proposal
So, you think you have a great idea for a roleplay in Marvel Utopia? Great, we want to hear it!
When submitting a proposal for roleplay in Marvel Utopia, there are a few things that you should make sure you've covered: The Five "W"s = What, Who, When, Why, and How (yes, I know "How" doesn't start with a "w").
1. What is going to happen?
This is the basic outline for your roleplay. What is going to happen in the room, what are the different "phases" the roleplay will go through, and what will be the outcomes?
2. Who will be participating in the rolepay?
Is it a roleplay for everyone in the room to get involved in, or only a small group of players? Do you already have players that are interested and willing to put their characters into your storyline? Who else would you "need" for the roleplay to be successful (this includes played characters and NPCs)?
3. When will all this happen?
We would like a vague timeline of how long you will need to set things up, how long you envision each phase to last, when will it end, etc. We want to make sure that the RPs progress in a timely fashion.
4. Why?
Self-explanatory. Why is this happening? Why are the characters driven to participate, etc.?
5. How?
How are you going to pull all this off - behind the scenes? Will you be running it yourself, or asking others to help you? How are you going to try to get people involved? And the most important question of ALL roleplay proposals - how is the storyline going to end, and how will things change in the room because of it?
Remember: the more details you have in your proposal, the easier it is for us to envision what you have in mind! If we aren't sure what you are aiming for or don't understand what you want done, then it most likely won't happen!
Also, if you don't want to reveal all the inner workings of your roleplay to the public, feel free to send either NC or I a private message instead! But, we suggest putting up some sort of teaser or idea on this board for others in the room to read and comment on -we'd also like to see public opinion about something you are thinking up!
Thanks!
