Powers
Density Manipulation-Self: Amazing power to alter his own density, increasing or decreasing it as desired through manipulation of his body’s molecular properties. Shinobi can alter part or all of his body from intangible to diamond. Shinobi cannot alter the densities of other people even while in physical contact with them.
Power Stunts include:
•Gain body resistance equal to his density rank. Shinobi gains body resistance at rank equal to his chosen density. This effect is more than skin deep – it permeates completely through him.
•Use density rank instead of strength. Shinobi’s chosen density rank replaces strength when shifted to a density besides Typical.
•Immovability. Shinobi can move normally even when his body attains a high density rank, but if he chooses he may plant himself and gain Immovability at level equal to his chosen density rank. When planted and using this power, Shinobi’s strength and resilience is the same as if he was not using the Immovability power; i.e. Immovability does not give him any bonuses or power stunts other than Immovability itself – strength and resilience is decided by density rank alone.
•Shift-0 Density. Shift-0 density state allows for immunity to physical attacks, but not energy or psionic attacks. While in Shift-0 density, Shinobi has the ability to phase through solid objects such as walls, people, ect. without limit except for force fields. In Shift-0 density, Shinobi Shaw is weightless and cannot physically interact with the world around him (ie his body is no longer considered a physical object) though he can walk on any surface he wishes without falling through or slipping.
•Interphasing Touch. The Interphasing Touch can cause disruption of living and nonliving material by touching, phasing through, and solidifying inside that object or person. Damage equals Shinobi’s chosen density rank. Body armor is ignored, but force fields are not. This attack does not harm Shinobi’s interphasing part, only the target. In the past, this ability has been used to target internal organs such as the heart. If he chooses, Shinobi can also use the Interphasing Touch to remove part of an object from the whole without damaging the target, such as removing one cog from a machine or pulling a bullet out of a person.

Equipment
Upstarts Ring:
Shinobi Shaw wears the Upstarts Ring upon his left hand, signaling he was the champion of the infamous and deadly game that Gamesmaster (and secretly Selene) challenged the Upstarts to. The ring is made from platinum and diamond and is capped by a large blue sapphire. This ring (and the finger it was worn upon) was once ripped from Shinobi’s hand by the mutant Trevor Fitzroy, though both were later reattached. The ring has no special powers, abilities, or properties other than the fame it connotes to those few who recognize it for what it is.
Sub-dermal Anti-Mutation Detector:
A small organic implant allowed to dissolve undetectably into Shinobi’s body masks his presence as a mutant through almost any type of technological test, from blood test to Sentinel-type scans, making him appear as a pure human without inhibiting his powers. A must for any secretive mutant billionaire.
Contacts
Shinobi has contacts throughout the business and financial world, Hellfire Club, U.S. government.
History
Shinobi Shaw is the son of billionaire industrialist Sebastian Shaw, who was also the Black King of the Hellfire Club. Ignored by his father in his youth and vowing revenge, Shinobi encountered his father in the latter's Swiss chalet and appeared to have killed him, taking on the title of Black King for himself.
Shinobi inherited his father's business and wealth as well as his position in the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club. Sebastian Shaw was instrumental in creation of the Sentinels and was involved in many other endeavors, leaving Shinobi with many plots to pick up. Shaw was also a member of the Upstarts, a group of young mutants organized by the mutant Gamesmaster who wanted to lead the next generation of would-be conquerors. Shinobi received "points" for killing his father. He was in the lead of the infamous Upstarts competition at its conclusion and wears a ring to this day signifying this. At one point in time, a time-traveling mutant by the name of Fitzroy tore the finger bearing the ring from Shinobi’s hand; both the finger and ring were later recovered and reattached, leaving Fitzroy to pay a terrible price once he was caught and the young Shaw once more with the ring. The Gamesmaster later approached Shinobi Shaw about becoming too passive in the competition, suggesting he at least employ a lackey to do his dirty work for him. Shinobi accepted, though he grew bored of the game, instead focusing upon the Hellfire Club.
Shaw attempted to revive the Hellfire Club's Inner Circle through a variety of plots and recruitment attempts. As he was oft to do, however, Shinobi later seemingly grew bored of the duties associated with the Hellfire Club and left it to its own devices, forsaking the title of Black King that he received from usurping his father Sebastian Shaw. He disappeared even from the public eye as a wealthy industrialist, in essence falling off the map. His new agenda was unknown, though it has been revealed to a select few that he has been working on Project SENTRY.
Several years have passed since, and though Shinobi had subsequently faded into the shadows, it seems the Shaw heir has recently taken the field once more. Shinobi's current goals are unknown, though he continues to run Shaw Industries and intends to strengthen the Hellfire Club. Shinobi Shaw considers himself a villain mastermind of the highest order, but has yet to do much to demonstrate this. Not truly evil, he is merely greedy for wealth and power, an ironically similar stand that his father shared. His inferiority complex with Sebastian Shaw still not sated despite his committed patricide, Shinobi is now trying to find his path, though he makes plenty of stops for alcohol and beautiful women along the way.
